Friday September 6, 2024
We depart Toronto for Dublin, Ireland. Overnight flight via Air Transat Wide Body Airbus 300, who boast of having the newest Trans-Atlantic Airbus Fleet. In flight service includes hot meals, imported wines and the most current in-flight movies and music. Headsets, drinks, duty free liquor can be purchased on the flight to Ireland. You must use a credit card for any in-flight purchases.
Saturday - September 7, 2024 DUBLIN

We land in Dublin this morning. After going through immigration and customs we are met by our Driver/Guide for the week. Upon departing Dublin Airport we travel approximately 20 minutes to downtown Dublin there we will have a panoramic Tour of “Europe’s Fastest growing Capital City”. We will see the General Post Office (GPO) on O’Connell Street, Trinity College, Dublin Castle, Phoenix Park, Kilmainhan jail.
After our morning tour you will have the rest of the afternoon to explore Dublin and its many sights. Maybe you may want to visit the Guinness Brewery or the Jameson Distillery. You may be interested in visiting Trinity College and the “Book of Kells” or Temple Bar, Dublin’s Left Bank and entertainment district. The choice of Pubs and restaurants are endless.
Sunday - September 8, 2024 DUBLIN

After our first Irish breakfast of eggs, sausage, toast, scones, bacon, cereal, coffee, tea, etc., we will be on our way south traveling through the beautiful Wicklow Mountains to the Village of Glendalough. Here you will visit the 6th Century monastic settlement of St. Kevin. You won’t want to miss the ancient cemetery with its many Celtic Cross Headstones and you will see some round towers. Enjoy an Irish lunch in Glendalough before our picturesque ride back through the Wicklow mountains returning back to Dublin. The rest of the day is yours to tour and shop in the city of Dublin and visit the places you didn’t get to on your first day in Dublin. Dinner on your own this evening in Dublin.
Monday - September 9, 2024 GALWAY/SALT HILL

After breakfast our tour takes us west to the Seaport Town of Galway, Ireland’s youngest city. Our next two nights will be spent in this busy and vibrant City. Upon arriving in the afternoon we will be given a panoramic tour…seeing such sights as Galway Cathedral with it mosaic of JFK, Eyre Square which was renamed Kennedy Square after his 1961 visit; the Spanish Arch and the Seaside resort of Salthill located on Galway Bay.Tonight you may wish to go to McDonough’s Seafood Restaurant for what is Galway’s best fish & chips.
Tuesday - September 10, 2024 GALWAY/SALT HILL
SALT HILL HOTEL BREAKFAST/DINNER
After a leisurely breakfast we spend the morning in this delightful town. In the late morning we will take a scenic tour of the Connemara Region, which is noted for its Gaelic speaking people. We travel along Galway Bay via Kylemore Abbey for a photo stop. Continuing on via the scenic country side complete with the sheep crossing stops. We have the opportunity to visit the Connemara Marble Factory and see how this beautiful green marble is quarried and polished. We also travel through the charming Village of Cong which is the location for the 1952 movie, The Quiet Man, with John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara. We arrive back in Galway City in late afternoon.
Tonight why not explore Ireland’s Youngest and most Vibrant City” and stop in at some of Galway’s best pubs, “The Quays”, An Pucan & Rabbitt’s to name a few.
Wednesday - September 11, 2024 KILLARNEY

This morning we are heading south toward Killarney for our next two nights. Depart Galway our first stop will be the unbelievable Cliffs of Mohr. These magnificent cliffs rise to a height of 700 feet above the Atlantic and stretch for a distance of 5 miles along the coast. After the breathtaking Cliffs of Mohr we will be stopping at Bunratty Village, home of the Bunratty Castle and the Bunratty Woolen Mills and Durty Nellies, one of Ireland’s oldest pubs .As we continue to make our way to Killarney we travel through the Old World Town of Adare noted for its thatched cottages. Arriving in Killarney we have the evening free to explore the many pubs and shops in this magical Village.
Don’t miss the Danny Mann Pub where there is live Irish music 7 nights a week.
Thursday – September 12, 2024 KILLARNEY

After breakfast our tour today takes us along the Kerry Coast to the Dingle Peninsula. Out first stop will be Inch Beach where Ryan’s Daughter was filmed. On to Dingle Town for a time to explore this seaside town. Here you can get the “Best Fish & Chips in all Ireland” at HARRINGTON’S. Our tour takes us to the Bee Hive Huts, Neolithic Age, 4000 year old monuments, Gallarus Oratory as we travel o Slea Head at the tip of the peninsula. We continue on to Conor Pass on our way to Killarney. Dinner is on your own and you may want to do a Killarney Pub Crawl. Don’t miss Danny Manns, The Laurels, Murphy’s Bar, O’Meara Pub, O’Donoghe’s, they are all within a short walk

This morning we will travel east to back to the Dublin area for our last night.
Departing Killarney this morning we travel northwest to County Cork into the small magical town of Blarney. Here you have the opportunity to visit the Blarney Castle to receive the “gift of eloquence” for all those who partake. You will have the opportunity to visit the world famous Blarney Woolen Mills and give you the opportunity for great buys on crystal, Beeleek, tweeds, linens and knitwear.
Heading north our next stop is the “Rock of Cashel” a stately limestone outcrop topped with medieval ruins. This is the inauguration site of the Munster Kings including High King Brian Boru!
