MONDAY AUGUST 27, 2012  

TORONTO SHANNON/ADARE

We depart Toronto for Shannon, Ireland. Overnight flight

via Air Transat Wide Body Airbus 300, who boast of having the

newest Trans Atlantic Airbus fleet. In flight service includes hot meals,

imported wines, movies and music.

TUESDAY AUGUST 28, 2012

SHANNON/ADARE...DINNER

We land in Shannon after a short stop in Dublin this morning.

After going through immigration and customs we

are met by our Driver/Guide for the week. Before the short

drive to our hotel we will stop and exchange money into Euros at Shannon Airport.

Upon departing Shannon Airport we head North about 25 minutes to the quaint Village of Adare.

Adare is noted for its thatched roof cottages and shops for which it has won the annual "Tidy Town" award

numerous times. Our first night we will be at the woodland house hotel. after checking in at the hotel maybe you will want to

visit the hotel's spa and leisure center to unwind. Dinner will be served in the hotel's dining room this evening.

WEDNESDAY AUGUST 29, 2012

ADARE/KILLARNEY...BREAKFAST

After our first "Irirsh Breakfast" of bacon, eggs, sausage, blood pudding and more we head south to the magical

village of Killarney....famous for its lakes and mountains. It is no wonder Killarney is referred to as "Heavens Reflex".

Later in the afternoon we will have a chance to visit Killarney National Park and view the beautiful gardens of muckross

House. Tonight you will want to do a Killarney pub crawl visiting some of Ireland's best pubs.... The Laurels, O'Connors,

Buckleys and Molly Darcy, to name a few.

THURSDAY AUGUST 30, 2012

KILLARNEY "RING OF KERRY"....BREAKFAST

Today's highlight is the breathtaking "Ring of Kerry". The scenery includes plunging cliffs and lush lake

lands, granite mountains and sandy beaches on Kerry's largest peninsula. There's plenty on which to focus a camera here...

stunning landscapes and mountains dotted with brightly colored farmhouses. We will visit Kilorglin, waterville, The Black Mountains

and spectacular Moll's Gap. Tonight you will want to visit Danny Mann's Pub, Killarney's most popular pub to listen to a traditional Irish Band.

FRIDAY AUGUST 31, 2012

KILLARNEY/DUBLIN/WICKLOW...BREAKFAST

Depart Killarney this morning we travel northwest to County Cork into the small town of Blarney.

Here you have the opportunity to visit the Blarney Castle to receive the "gift of eloquence"

for all those who partake. You will have the opportunity to visit the world famous Blarney Woolen Mills and get the

opportunity for great buys on waterford Crystal, Belleek, tweeds, linens and knit ware.

Heading north our next stop is the "Rock of Cashel" a statley limestone outcrop topped with medieval ruins.

Departing Blarney we continue northeast to the coastal town of Wicklow, where we will spend our next two nights. After checking into

our hotel we get ready to depart for the "Pep Rally" in Dublin City. We head back to Wickow after we are pumped up at the Rally!!!!

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 1, 2012

WICKLOW/DUBLIN...DINNER

GAME DAY!!!

After breakfast we head north about 25 minutes to the brand new magnificent AVIVA STADIUM, where the "Celtic Classic Football Game"

takes place...NOTRE DAME VS. NAVY. We will be a part of all the excitement and thrill of a NOTRE DAME Football Game!

We depart Dublin and head back to Wicklow late in the afternoon. Dinner will be served in the hotel's dining room this evening.

 

SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 2, 2012

DUBLIN/GALWAY...ORANMORE

After breakfast we head west to the delightful seaside town of Galway, Ireland's Youngest City.

Upon arriving in Galway City we will get a panorama tour of Galway seeing such sights as Galway Cathedral with its

mosaic tribute to John F. Kennedy, Spanish Arch and Kennedy Square after the late US Presidents after his 1961 visit.

Our next two nights will be the quaint town of Oranmore, just outside of Galway City.

You may want to explore this little town or take a cab to Galway City for the Evening.

 

MONDAY SEPTEMBER 3, 2012

GALWAY/ORANMORE....DINNER

After a leisurely breakfast we take a scenic tour of the Connemara Region, which is noted for its Gaelic speaking

people. We have the opportunity to visit the Connemara Marble Factory and see how this beautiful green marble is quarried and polished.

We also travel through the charming village of Cong which was the location for the 1952 movie, The Quiet Man, with John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara..

We arrive back in Oranmore in the late afternoon. Dinner is served in the hotel's dining room. Being our last night in Ireland you may want to do a pub crawl in Galway City visiting such pubs as the Quays, AnPucan, and Rabbitts, to name a few.

TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 4, 2012

SHANNON/TORONTO/USA

After breakfast we transfer to Shannon Airport. We will have the opportunity to do some

last minute shopping at the famous duty free shop at Shannon Airport. After a few last pints at Shannon

Airport we sadly bid farewell to the mystical land the call Ireland
